CopCam is a camera app for the professional use and event documentation. It is aimed at police officers and professionals, as well as private users who want to make recordings specifically for documentation or even for evidence purposes. CopCam combines familiar camera operation with features that support the authenticity of the recordings.

Recordings are cryptographically secured to make subsequent manipulations detectable. In addition, information such as date, time, GPS position, direction, speed and map view is burned directly into the recordings (can be deactivated). Formats and coordinate systems (e.g., the Swiss coordinate system LV95) can be adapted to the desired requirements.

Data protection is consistently implemented, and CopCam works offline. Media is stored separately from the photo library, rotated correctly, and can be quickly shared or transferred within the local network. This creates a robust foundation for reliable documentation, both on duty and in everyday life.
